Here’s one homeowner who had the foresight to install a burglar alarm system and it saved his valuable possessions from being lost forever. The victim of the attempted robbery was away at work when a pair of intruders forced their way into his Swindon home. Around 7 p.m., the next door neighbors heard unusual noises coming from his house and the sound of a burglar alarm system.
When the neighbors looked out their window they saw two men carrying a television set out the side door. The householder arrived on the scene about the same time as the police. The alarm alerted the police to the suspicious activity. Using a trained police dog, they were able to track down the first man who was carrying the remote for the TV.
Upon further investigation, the law enforcement agents discovered a second man with a TV. It had some of the first man’s blood on it. They had smashed a back window to get into the home. The pair of culprits did not have much choice but to plead guilty.
