Most people don’t stop to consider that those things they cherish the most or that hold the most sentimental value mean nothing to a person who intends to break in and burglarize their home. For the most part, a burglar has no personal interest in you or your belongings. They're simply looking for an easy target that lets them get in and out with little risk. They don’t care that they're upsetting you. They're desperate and determined to make their livelihood.
Recently, a woman in New Mexico came home to find her home had been burglarized by a thief obviously looking for expensive electronics. Unfortunately, the culprit made off with an urn containing her son's ashes; he had been killed in a car accident. The mother was devastated, and she would like the thief to return her son’s remains.
In a case such as this, a monitored burglar alarm could have prevented the loss. The moment the alarm is triggered, the monitoring center can alert authorities who typically can arrive on the scene within minutes.
